Steve oversees Gibson Electric's full range of commercial electrical construction, telecommunications, and life safety services, helping to ensure that every project results in consistently high-quality client solutions.

His responsibilities include overall business strategy, internal policies and procedures, market evaluation, and new service development. In all of these activities, his primary objective is to deliver the innovative electrical and technological solutions clients need to meet the challenges of today and tomorrow. 

Steve focuses on constant product and process training, continued education, detailed planning, and creativity to provide clients efficient and cost-effective installations across all services Gibson provides. Steve works to develop trust-based relationships with general contractors, engineers, architects, and end users through a commitment to integrity and transparency on every project delivered.

Expertise

Steve joined Gibson Electric in 2005 after working as an investment representative with Deutsche Bank. Since coming on board with the company, Steve has held many positions to help contribute to the organization’s success. From Assistant PM to President and CEO, Steve has drawn on his experiences in teamwork, leadership, competition, education, and training to help Gibson Electric perform at the highest level in the industry.  

Steve attended St. Joseph College in Rensselaer, Indiana where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business management and marketing. While in school, he worked in the construction industry as a local 4 laborer. 

The Personal Side

Steve and his wife have four children. In his free time, he enjoys coaching his children’s sports teams, playing golf, listening to music, and cooking and grilling. A former NCAA student athlete, Steve maintains a lifelong love of baseball and plays in the Downtown Real Estate 16” Softball League.
